SSI ReAct Right - Renewal
There are a couple of options within our ReAct Right refresh framework. What you choose will depend on what you wish to refresh.
The courses provide you with the updated knowledge and training to act as a first responder and provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and / or apply an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) support in a medical emergency since your last certification.
Refreshing your First Aid skills could be the difference between someone dying or living. The skills learnt on this course are not just for divers but are transferable skills for everyday life.
First Aid Statistics
- Up to 150,000 people in the UK die each year in situations where first aid could make a difference [1]
- Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. [2]
- Only 9%of UK parents are confident and willing to perform first aid on their children [5]
WHAT WILL I DO FOR MY REACT RIGHT RENEWAL?
You will review your elearning that you will already have and then in class we will refresh all of the required skills in a highly practical environment.
We want everyone to walk away from our first aid training with the willingness to apply the skills learnt in the unfortunate event of being faced with a life-threatening emergency
HOW LONG WILL THE REACT RIGHT RENEWAL TAKE?
This will depend on which option you choose:-
- Full Refresh - ½ day (4 hours)
- O2 Admin - 1 - 2 hours
IS THERE AN ASSESSMENT TO TAKE TO PASS THE REACT RIGHT RENEWAL?
The classroom assessment is ongoing by the instructor in respect of the student’s practical ability and we will validate your theoretical knowledge as we go.
HOW LONG DOES THE REACT RIGHT CERTIFICATION LAST
On successful completion of the renewal course you will be good for another two years.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER RECERTIFYING?
Remember to keep practising.
