Background to the EFR: Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) with AED Course

The course is split into a number of sections

  1. Primary Care - This teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies.
  2. Secondary Care - This section covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life-threatening.
  3. Knowledge Reviews
  4. Multi-choice final exam

The Primary and Secondary care sections are undertaken by a combination of classroom teaching with lots and lots of practical practise to allow you the student time to become comfortable with the skill. We want everyone to walk away from this course with the willingness to apply the skills learnt in the unfortunate event of being faced with a life-threatening emergency

What are the course pre-requisites for the Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW) Course?

There are no prerequisites

Is there an assessment to pass the EFR: Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) with AED Course?

Assessment is ongoing by the instructor in respect of the student’s practical ability, along with a multiple choice question paper.

Course Accreditation

On successful completion of the course an Emergency First Response Primary/Secondary Care with AED certification card valid for two years is issued.

You can also gain a CPD Credit of 6 hours for this course

What is next after the EFR: Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) with AED Course?

This course is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Course, so if a diver why not challenge yourself to what some say is the hardest but most rewarding recreational diver course
