Cylinder Hydrostatic Test(PIAT)
Cylinder Testing & Servicing (PIAT)
Scuba cylinders follow a dual testing cycle:
-
Hydrostatic Test — required every 5 years
-
Visual Inspection — required at the 2½-year midpoint
Air gun cylinders only require testing every 5 years.
These are easily identified by the integral pressure gauge fitted to the pillar valve.
Simply drop your cylinder in and we’ll take care of the rest.
What’s Included?
All cylinder tests include:
-
Replacement neck O-ring
-
New test quadrant sticker applied by the test house
Valve Servicing
If a valve service is required, we will only replace the parts that need changing.
-
If more than two parts require replacement, a full valve service kit will be required.
-
Spindle replacements will always require a full valve service kit.
To keep things moving efficiently, replacement parts up to a value of £8 will be fitted without prior approval.
If the required parts exceed this amount, we will contact you for authorisation before proceeding.
All cylinders are returned fully filled and ready to use.
