Frequently asked questions
Our current AP Diving range is their surface and safety equipment rather than rebreather systems. That covers surface marker buoys β a self-sealing SMB, and one supplied with its own inflation cylinder β a 25kg lifting bag with a dump valve, a buddy line, and Chemgene HLD4L disinfectant for cleaning dive equipment. Specifications differ between the individual items, so check the manufacturer specification for whichever one you are looking at.
We do not list AP Diving rebreather units on the site. Closed-circuit rebreathers are life-support equipment, and diving one requires formal training on that specific unit, so questions about choosing, configuring or maintaining a CCR are best taken to a qualified CCR instructor or to AP Diving directly. If you are looking for an AP Diving accessory or spare that you cannot see here, please get in touch.
It depends on how you intend to deploy it and the sort of diving you do. The self-sealing SMB and the version supplied with an inflation cylinder are inflated differently, so read the manufacturer specification for each before you decide. Our guide to choosing a surface marker buoy walks through the differences, and if you would rather talk it through in person, come into the shop.
Possibly β it is always worth asking. If you cannot find the equipment you are looking for, get in touch and we will let you know what we can do.
