Regular servicing of your scuba equipment is essential—not just for safety and reliability, but also to protect your investment and ensure a long life for your gear.

If you're planning a dive trip or holiday, we strongly recommend having your equipment serviced well in advance. This gives you time to test everything before you go, avoiding any last-minute surprises!

Your BCD is a vital part of your setup and needs proper care between dives, as well as an annual service. Salt deposits and other debris can build up inside the bladder, inflator, and valves—potentially causing damage that isn’t always repairable.

We recommend that you have your BCD / Wing serviced on an annual basis.

  • All servicing is undertaken by a fully authorised on-site service technician
  • We only use original manufacturers' service kits
  • Wash the bladder - internal and external with an anti-backterial / viral BCD Wash
  • All the dump valves are fully checked
  • Service the low pressure inflater using standard service pack

Please Note:
Equipment brought into the shop for servicing or testing, not collected within three months of notification of completion of works, Dive Rutland Ltd., will have the right to sell the equipment to re-coup the expense incurred for the repair / service / test, at their own discretion.

BCD & Wing Servicing

A BCD or wing has moving parts that fail quietly: inflators stick, dump valves weep, bladders develop pinholes. We service BCDs and wings, checking the inflator, the dump valves and the bladder itself. If yours is holding air badly or feels slow to inflate, bring it in rather than diving it and hoping.
