ReAct Right - First Aid, AED and O2

This course provides you with the knowledge and training to act as a first responder and provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and / or apply an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) support in a medical emergency.

Learning First Aid could be the difference between someone dying or living.  The skills learnt on this course are not just for divers but are transferable skills for everyday life.

NB: If you are looking to book this course and there is only the 31st December showing or the dates advertised do not work for you then either book for the 31st December and we will contact you to discuss dates or contact us to discuss and we will then schedule additional dates to suit.

First Aid Statistics

  • Up to 150,000 people in the UK die each year in situations where first aid could make a difference [1]
  • Every year an estimated 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke. [2]
  • Only 9%of UK parents are confident and willing to perform first aid on their children [5]

Background to the ReAct Right - First Aid, AED and O2

The course is split into two parts, the same as most SSI courses.

  1. Online elearning preparation
  2. Highly practical learning and application of the skills

The Primary and Secondary care sections are undertaken by a combination of classroom teaching with lots and lots of practical practise to allow you the student time to become comfortable with the skill. We want everyone to walk away from this course with the willingness to apply the skills learnt in the unfortunate event of being faced with a life-threatening emergency

HOW LONG WILL THE REACT RIGHT COURSE TAKE?

You will work through the online elearning at your own pace and then spend 1 day with us working on the practical elements

IS THERE AN ASSESSMENT TO TAKE TO PASS THE REACT RIGHT COURSE?

The online elearning element has a digital exam and the classroom assessment is ongoing by the instructor in respect of the student’s practical ability.

HOW LONG DOES THE REACT RIGHT CERTIFICATION LAST

On successful completion of the course a React Right certifcation is valid for two years is issued.

What is next after the REACT RIGHT CERTIFICATION?

This course is a prerequisite for the SSI Stress and Rescue speciality, so if a diver why not challenge yourself to what some say is the hardest but most rewarding recreational diver course

But can be used as a responsible person in the work place certification as it covers all of the requirements requested by UK HSE, but if you prefer have a look at our Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at work courses

Couldnt recommend Tracy and her team enough for a first aid course. Having to renew it every 3 years used to send me to sleep. Not with these guys! professional, up to date and with lots of toys to play with, without the death by powerpoint.
