Apeks Regulator Servicing

Keep your Apeks regulator performing exactly as it should with professional servicing from Dive Rutland.

Our dedicated in-house service centre is staffed by manufacturer-trained technicians who use genuine Apeks parts, approved service procedures and specialist service equipment. Whether your regulator requires its annual inspection or a full overhaul, you can be confident it is being maintained to the highest standards of safety and performance.

We stock genuine service kits for all current Apeks regulators.  Oxygen cleaning is also available at an additional cost for regulators used with enriched air or oxygen service. Please advise us during booking if this is required.

What's Included in an Apeks Regulator Service?

Every Apeks regulator service includes:

  • Complete strip down of all first and second stages
  • Thorough cleaning of regulator components using ultrasonic cleaning equipment
  • Replacement of all manufacturer-specified service parts using genuine Apeks service kits
  • Intermediate pressure adjustment and stability testing
  • Opening effort (cracking pressure) adjustment and testing
  • Pressurised immersion leak testing
  • Inspection of filters for contamination or discolouration
  • Inspection of mouthpieces for wear, tears or damage
  • Inspection of exhaust valves and seating surfaces
  • Inspection of hoses and hose crimps
  • Functional testing of venturi controls and adjustment knobs
  • Final performance testing to Apeks specifications

All standard labour charges and genuine service kit parts are included within the service price.

Additional charges will only apply if non-standard replacement parts are required following inspection (including mouthpieces), and we will always contact you before undertaking any additional work.

Our Servicing Process

To ensure every regulator leaves us operating at its best, we follow a structured servicing procedure:

  1. Complete strip down and inspection
  2. Ultrasonic cleaning and drying of components
  3. Reassembly using genuine Apeks service parts
  4. Adjustment and balancing of first and second stages
  5. Pressurised leak testing
  6. Performance testing and fine tuning
  7. 24-hour stabilisation period to confirm stable intermediate pressure and identify any slow leaks
  8. Final quality control inspection and wet test

This process helps ensure your regulator performs reliably both on the surface and underwater.

Turnaround Times

Our typical turnaround time is 7–10 days, although faster servicing can often be arranged with prior notice.

If your regulator is in service immediately before a planned dive trip, we can usually provide a complimentary loan set of Apeks or Aqua Lung regulators from our rental fleet, subject to availability.

Service Warranty

All regulator servicing completed by Dive Rutland includes a 3-month workmanship warranty for additional peace of mind.

All servicing is carried out by manufacturer-trained technicians using approved servicing procedures and genuine parts wherever applicable, ensuring your equipment continues to meet manufacturer performance and safety standards.

Bringing Your Regulator to Us

You are welcome to bring your regulator directly to the dive centre.

If you are unable to visit us in person, regulators can also be sent to us by post. Full shipping details can be found on our contact us page

Regulators We Can No Longer Service

Due to the unavailability of parts and manufacturer support, we are unable to service the following obsolete Apeks models:

  • Reflex range (non-EN250 compliant)
  • T30 piston first stage
  • T50 piston first stage
  • 5000 ST second stage

If you are unsure which model you own, please contact us and we will be happy to advise.
