Rolock parts are matched to Rolock systems, so check what your cuffs already have before you order.

Who Rolock are

Rolock make a dryglove ring system: a pair of rings, one fitted to the drysuit cuff and one to the glove, that lock together to keep water out of the glove. It is sold as complete systems, as rings on their own, and as replacement O-rings, so the parts that wear can be replaced without replacing everything else.

Compatibility is the thing to get right

This is where dryglove orders go wrong. Rolock rings are matched to Rolock gloves and to particular Rolock systems, and rings intended for gloves with an attached inner lining are not the same as rings intended for gloves with a removable liner. Rolock parts are not designed to be combined with other manufacturers' ring systems either.

So before ordering, look at what is already fitted to your drysuit cuffs and work out which system and glove type it is. If you are not certain, tell us which suit you dive, what seals it has and what is currently on the cuffs, and we will tell you which parts work with it. It is a short conversation that saves a return.

The liner does the warming

A dryglove is a waterproof shell. What keeps your hands warm is the liner worn inside it. A thicker liner gives more insulation than a thinner one, and it also takes up more room inside the glove, so the glove and the liner are worth choosing together rather than adding a thicker liner later and finding it no longer fits.

We cannot answer that from a suit model name alone. What matters is what is already fitted to your cuffs, what seals the suit runs, and whether anything has been modified along the way.

Check the suit first. Then tell us the suit, the seals and what is currently on the cuffs, and we will tell you which Rolock parts work with it. This is the question behind most returned dryglove orders, so it is worth asking before you buy rather than after.

Treat them as separate systems. Rolock rings, gloves and O-rings are matched to Rolock systems, and parts from different manufacturers are not designed to be combined.

If you already run a different ring system and want to change, or you have taken on a suit with something unidentified on the cuffs, get in touch before ordering anything.
