The DynamicNord TR-80 Regulator is a high-performance, cold-water scuba regulator designed for demanding diving conditions, including water temperatures below 10°C. Combining balanced first and second stages with a robust brass construction, it delivers consistent breathing performance, cold-water protection and adjustable breathing comfort.

Designed and engineered in Germany and manufactured in Europe, the TR-80 features a membrane-compensated first stage with dry sealing, helping protect against freezing in cold water. Its innovative second-stage front cover is designed to prevent free-flow in strong currents and when diving with underwater scooters.

DynamicNord TR-80 Regulator Details

Designed for Cold Water Diving

The TR-80 is built with cold-water diving in mind. Its solid brass construction provides excellent thermal protection, while the membrane-compensated first stage features dry sealing to help prevent water entering the mechanism and reduce the risk of freezing.

The regulator is certified for use in water temperatures below 10°C, making it suitable for UK diving and other colder-water environments.

Innovative Second Stage Design – Free-Flow Protection

One of the TR-80's distinctive features is its specially designed second-stage front cover. Rather than positioning the water inlet openings at the front, they are located around the sides of the regulator.

This design prevents dynamic water pressure from acting directly on the inhalation diaphragm, helping reduce the risk of unwanted free-flow when diving in strong currents or using underwater scooters.

Balanced Breathing Performance

Both the first and second stages are balanced to help maintain consistent breathing performance throughout the dive, regardless of depth or changes in cylinder pressure.

The second stage also incorporates an optimised exhaust valve and exhaust deflector to reduce exhalation effort. The deflector helps direct exhaled bubbles away from the diver's face, contributing to a more comfortable diving experience.

Adjustable Breathing Comfort

The TR-80 provides two adjustments to tailor breathing performance:

• Venturi Adjustment: Dive / Pre-Dive control helps prevent free-flow at the surface and supports comfortable breathing underwater.

• Inhalation Adjustment: Allows the diver to fine-tune breathing resistance to personal preference.

The average work of breathing is specified at 0.8 J/L, providing a balanced breathing response.

Flexible Hose Configuration

The first stage provides two high-pressure and four low-pressure ports, allowing flexibility when configuring your regulator with a contents gauge, dive computer transmitter, primary second stage, alternate air source and other suitable equipment.

The LP hose is tested to a maximum pressure of 34 bar.
