Open Water Kit Hire – Transport & Equipment Handling Services

Our standard equipment hire prices are based on customers collecting their equipment from Dive Rutland, packing their own kit, transporting it to and from the dive site, and returning it clean and dry after use.

To help cover the additional time, vehicle costs, and staff resources involved when these tasks are undertaken by Dive Rutland, we now offer the following optional service upgrades.

Transport Cylinder Service

Don't have room to transport cylinders or simply want one less thing to worry about?

This option covers the transportation of your hired cylinder(s) to and from the dive site by Dive Rutland.

Includes:

• Transportation of hired cylinder(s) to the agreed dive site

• Return transportation of cylinder(s) back to Dive Rutland

• Suitable for training dives, guided dives, and club activities

Full Kit Handling & Transport Service

For divers who would prefer Dive Rutland to manage the logistics, this service covers the preparation, transportation, cleaning, drying, and storage of hired equipment.

Includes:

• Selection and packing of hired equipment

• Transportation of equipment to the dive site

• Unloading and collection from the dive site

• Washing and rinsing of equipment after use

• Drying and inspection of equipment

• Storage and packing away on return to the dive centre

This option is particularly useful for students, visiting divers, or anyone wishing to maximise their diving time and minimise equipment handling.

Important Information

These services are entirely optional. Customers are welcome to continue collecting equipment from the dive centre, transporting it themselves, and returning it clean and dry in accordance with our standard hire terms and conditions. In these circumstances, no additional transport or handling charges will apply.

A completed Hire Booking Form is still required regardless of whether equipment is collected by the customer or transported by Dive Rutland. When using our transport or full kit handling services, the equipment listed on the hire form will be selected, packed, transported, and prepared based on the information provided. It is therefore essential that all required equipment, sizes, and any specific requirements are accurately detailed at the time of booking.

These services are designed solely to cover the additional staff time, vehicle use, and equipment care involved in managing hire equipment on behalf of customers.

Please note: As these charges are intended to recover direct transport and handling costs, no Dive Rutland Club discounts or member discounts apply to these services.
