XDEEP Deluxe NX series Harness, SS backplate
The XDeep NX Backplate and Harness combines an ergonomic backplate design with a streamlined harness system to provide improved comfort, stability and weight distribution underwater. Available with either a standard single-loop harness or a deluxe harness with quick-release clips and shoulder pads, it can be configured to suit different diving preferences.
XDeep has redesigned the traditional backplate around human anatomy, creating an ergonomic shape that helps distribute the weight of the scuba unit more effectively and reduce unnecessary loading around the lower back.

XDeep NX Backplate and Harness Details
The XDeep NX Backplate and Harness has been designed around the diver rather than simply adapting a traditional backplate. The enlarged upper section helps distribute the weight of the scuba unit while reducing unnecessary pressure on the lumbar region, contributing to a more comfortable and balanced diving position.
The lower section of the backplate provides practical attachment points for weight pockets and other diving accessories, while the system's geometry keeps the scuba unit close to the diver's body for improved stability in the water.
One of the key advantages of the NX design is its ease of donning and doffing. When the harness is unfastened, the shoulder straps provide 20% more room than conventional designs, making it easier to get into and out of the system.
Once the waist buckle is tightened, the geometry of the harness automatically tensions the shoulder straps to provide a secure fit. This means there is no need to repeatedly adjust the webbing when changing between different exposure protection, such as a wetsuit and drysuit.
Aluminium or Stainless Steel?
The NX backplate is available in aluminium or stainless steel, allowing you to choose the configuration that best suits your diving.

Aluminium: A lightweight option particularly suited to travel and situations where minimal equipment weight is important.

Stainless steel: Provides a more substantial backplate and additional inherent ballast, which can be useful when configuring your weighting system.
Both materials are available in two sizes. As a general guide, XDeep recommends the larger option for divers over 175cm tall.
Standard or Deluxe Harness?
The standard single-loop harness provides a simple, streamlined configuration with minimal additional hardware.
The deluxe harness adds quick-release clips and shoulder pads, providing additional convenience and comfort for divers who prefer easier donning and doffing.
The result is a highly configurable backplate and harness system designed to keep your equipment stable, your weighting well distributed and your harness comfortable throughout the dive.
