Aqualung

Aqua Lung is one of diving's founding names. What we carry from them centres on regulators, fins, masks and snorkels, and Hydroflex wetsuits, with boots, a hood and computer battery kits alongside. It is a range built largely around kit that has to fit, so if you are choosing between sizes or models, come into the shop and try things on rather than guessing from a chart.

    Who Aqua Lung are

The Aqua Lung name traces back to the original aqua-lung demand valve developed by Jacques Cousteau and Émile Gagnan in 1943, the regulator that made recreational scuba diving possible in the first place. The brand has been part of the sport ever since, and for a great many divers it is the name on the first set of kit they ever used.

What we stock from Aqua Lung

Aqua Lung make a very wide range. What follows is the part of it we actually hold, rather than everything that appears in their catalogue.

Regulators are represented by the Helix Pro, as a first and second stage, and by the Leg3nd MBS regulator package.

Fins cover both fittings: the Storm Max and the Phazer Adjustable in open heel, the Storm and the Wind in full foot, and adjustable spring straps to go with them.

Masks and snorkels centre on the Reveal Ultrafit mask, with Reveal replacement straps and Reveal X2 optical lenses in both plus and minus powers, the Wrap snorkel, and mask-and-snorkel sets.

Exposure protection runs to Hydroflex 3mm wetsuits in full and shorty cuts for men and women, the Echozip 5mm boot and the Balance Comfort 5.5mm hood.

There are also battery kits for the i200, i200C, i470TC and i450T computers.

If there is something of theirs you want that is not listed here, get in touch and we will find out whether we can get hold of it.

Fit is the thing to get right

Most of what we carry from Aqua Lung lives or dies on fit: fins, boots, hoods, wetsuits and masks. Cut and sizing vary between models, and a size that works in one range will not necessarily work in another, so check the manufacturer specification for the item you are looking at. If you can get to the shop, try it on. We would far rather spend ten minutes getting the size right than have you send something back.

    Frequently asked questions

Regulators (the Helix Pro and the Leg3nd MBS), open heel and full foot fins with adjustable spring straps, the Reveal Ultrafit mask along with Reveal replacement straps and Reveal X2 optical lenses in plus and minus powers, the Wrap snorkel and mask-and-snorkel sets, Hydroflex 3mm wetsuits in full and shorty cuts, a 5mm boot, a 5.5mm hood, and computer battery kits. A few secondhand Aqua Lung items turn up from time to time as well. Stock moves, so if you are after something specific it is worth checking with us first.
Yes, and for anything that has to fit we would encourage it. Fins, boots, hoods, wetsuits and masks all vary in cut between models, and mask fit in particular is very personal and cannot be judged from a photograph. Come into the shop and try a few things on rather than guessing from a size chart.
Sizing varies between models, and between wetsuits, boots, hoods and fins, so check the manufacturer specification for the item you are looking at. The most reliable answer is usually to come into the shop and try it on. We would far rather you got the fit right first time than sent something back.
Quite possibly. The full Aqua Lung catalogue is a good deal larger than what we hold on the shelf. Tell us what you are looking for and we will find out whether we can get hold of it and how long it is likely to take.
