Free Certification: Once prerequisites are met, the Master Diver rating is automatically awarded by SSI without additional processing fees.

A Worked Example Pathway

Here’s one way you could achieve your SSI Master Diver:

1️⃣ Start with Open Water + Drysuit Integration
Train in a drysuit from day one (as we do at Dive Rutland), and you’re already working towards your Drysuit Specialty.

2️⃣ Add Enriched Air Nitrox
A perfect “dry” course for winter — and one of the most useful certifications you’ll ever have.

3️⃣ Stress & Rescue + React Right
Take the Rescue course alongside first aid training and add Oxygen Provider.

This is where divers take a big step forward in awareness and confidence.

4️⃣ Build Your Specialty Portfolio (5 Total Required)

Choose based on your diving goals, not convenience:

• UK-focused? → SMB / Dry Suit / Navigation
• Boat diving? → Boat Specialty
• Going pro? → Deep + Search & Recovery
• Winter learning? → Equipment Techniques / Marine Ecology
