1L Steel Drysuit Inflation Cylinder Overview

The 1L Steel Drysuit Inflation Cylinder is a compact and reliable solution for divers who prefer an independent drysuit inflation system. Popularly used with air and sometimes with argon for improved thermal performance, this 230 bar cylinder is an ideal choice for twinset divers or anyone wanting a dedicated inflation source. Its durable steel construction and compact dimensions make it easy to mount without adding unnecessary bulk to your diving setup.

1L Steel Drysuit Inflation Cylinder Details

Using a dedicated drysuit inflation cylinder provides an independent source of inflation gas, allowing you to preserve your primary breathing gas while maintaining buoyancy and thermal comfort throughout the dive. The 1L Steel Drysuit Inflation Cylinder has become a popular option for technical and twinset divers thanks to its compact size and dependable performance.

Constructed from robust steel and rated to a working pressure of 230 bar, the cylinder provides ample inflation gas while remaining lightweight and unobtrusive. Its small footprint makes it easy to integrate into your equipment configuration without affecting trim or mobility.

To maximise the service life of any suit inflation cylinder, good maintenance practices are essential. Divers should avoid completely emptying the cylinder underwater, store it with a small positive pressure (at least 2 bar), keep the valve closed when empty, and ensure the valve is dried and capped when not connected to a regulator. Because suit inflation cylinders are more susceptible to water ingress if emptied underwater, regular visual inspections by a certified test centre are recommended in addition to the standard UK testing intervals.
