Frequently asked questions
Technical diving hardware, spares and consumables rather than headline equipment. Currently that covers rigging hardware including double enders, a stage bolt snap, split rings, shackles, domed backplate nuts and a stainless D-ring holder for hose clamps; bungee cord in several diameters and by the metre, plus braided caveline on 200 and 500 metre spools and an aluminium spool; 52 and 63 mm pressure gauges including an oxygen version, a button gauge and a cylinder pressure check gauge; bungee-mount compasses; medium and high pressure hoses and inflator hoses; G5/8 and M26 adapters and fittings; stainless jubilee bands, tank boots and a stage rigging kit; drysuit inflation systems; Christolube oxygen greases and a San O Sub oxygen rescue kit; MOD decals and gas stickers; and sundries such as coil lanyards, heavy duty wetnotes, a foam-lined case and a toolmaster.
Check the thread and pressure rating of the equipment you are fitting it to, because that is what determines the answer and it is very easy to get wrong from a photograph. Adapters in this range run across several thread standards, and a fitting that looks right can be the wrong one. Check the manufacturer specification for your kit, and if you are unsure, bring the old part into the shop or get in touch and describe it to us.
Yes, and with rigging hardware in particular we would encourage it. Snaps, double enders and shackles are far easier to judge in the hand than on a screen, because gate action, size and how a snap sits against the rest of your kit all matter. Come into the shop and have a look, and bring the equipment you are fitting it to if you can.
Ask us. This range runs to a lot of small parts and what we list is what we currently hold. If you cannot find the equipment you are looking for, please get in touch and describe what you need and we will let you know whether we can source it.
