Because these are components rather than complete items, what fits depends entirely on what is already on your suit.

About SI TECH

SI TECH is a Swedish manufacturer and developer of drysuit components, safety solutions and diving equipment, founded in 1971 and based in Bråstad. They supply drysuit manufacturers and cold-water divers with valves, dry glove systems and modular seal systems.

What we stock from SI TECH

The list below is drawn from what is actually live in this collection rather than from the full SI TECH catalogue, which is considerably wider.

Dryglove ring systems are the largest part of it. We currently stock ANTARES, QCS Oval, Quick Cuff and Glove Lock QCP, supplied either as complete sets with seals included or as individual components: glove rings, spanner rings, stiff rings, support rings, cuff and wrist rings and the O-rings that go with them.

For the neck we stock the Quick Neck, Neck Tite and ORUST systems, along with their neck rings, lock rings, clips and fitting tools, and a combi tool that covers modular quick change fittings, Neck Tite and valves. Seals are held in both latex and silicone (Silflex): neck seals in bellow and conical profiles, and wrist seals in round, thin, extra long, heavy duty and reinforced versions.

On the valve side we list the VEGA inflation valve, inlet valve slides and skeletons, an Argo and shell valve set, the Thetis exhaust valve, an internal valve port and a valve service kit, plus the ATOS cable entry port for heated undersuit cabling. We also carry SI TECH drygloves themselves, including PVC gloves with and without liners, latex five-finger gloves and mittens and drygloves cut for the NEVA and OBERON ring systems, alongside fleece and hollow-fibre inner gloves, glove lube, a silicone tube, anti-friction washers, a swivel with O-rings, low pressure hose adapters and a drysuit boot connection set.

Compatibility — check what your suit already has

This is the part worth reading twice. SI TECH ring systems, seals and valves are not universally interchangeable. A glove ring made for one system will not necessarily mate with another, seals are cut to suit particular rings and clamps, and most drysuits are built around one specific system fitted by the suit manufacturer. Ordering a part that does not match what is already on the suit is far and away the most common way a component purchase goes wrong.

Before you order, establish what is actually fitted to your suit — the system name is usually marked on the ring itself. Check the manufacturer specification for both your suit and the component you are considering, and if you are not certain, get in touch and describe what you have. Who it suits

Anyone diving a drysuit in cold water, and particularly anyone running drygloves. A good deal of this range is replacement and upgrade parts rather than first purchases: seals perish, valves wear, and ring systems get changed as divers work out what they prefer.

Check the manufacturer specification for both your suit and the part you are looking at, and if there is any doubt at all, get in touch and describe what you have.

It depends more on your suit than on preference. Ring and clamp systems differ in what they will take, so the first thing to establish is what your suit is currently set up for. Beyond that, some divers move to silicone because of a sensitivity to latex. Check the manufacturer specification for your system, and talk to us if you would like to work through it.
