SSI Pro Prep - Mastering the Fundamentals
Crossed over from another agency, or someone who wants to polish their skills in preparation for an Assistant Instructor and/or Instructor Training Course.
Being prepared for those courses will ensure you get the most out of them, so being familiar with everything in the SSI system up to and including the Divemaster course is a must.
If you have come from another agency, then it is worth spending time with our Instructor Trainer and Dive Professional team to go through all of the skills you should have a good quality understanding of from the Open Water Course, Perfect Buoyancy, and Stress & Rescue course.
WHO IS THIS SSI PRO PREP FOR?
This is not a course, this is designed for divers who want to refine their skills and prepare for professional-level training. It’s perfect for:

Divers crossing over from another agency – If you're new to the SSI system, this course will help you get familiar with everything up to and including the Divemaster level (you will need to purchase the SSI Divemaster Materials in addition - 93700580 & 471098 if you do not already have - we can sort this for you)

Divemasters preparing for Assistant Instructor or Instructor Training – Sharpen your skills to ensure you get the most out of your pro-level courses.

WHAT DOES THE SSI PRO PREP CONSIST OF?
Lets start by saying it is not a course, its about spending time with our instructor Trainer (Tracey), be that in the classroom and / or pool getting you prepared to be successful in your professional development
CLASSROOM
We can spend time in the classroom (or remote time), walking through the SSI ecosystem and answering any questions you might have.
We can spend time, refreshing your classroom teaching skills e.g if progressing from Assistant Instructor to Instructor
CONFINED WATER SKILLS - OPEN WATER SKILLS
We can spend time in the pool or in open water with dry time prior to those sessions with our Dive Professional team and onsite Instructor Trainer running through the SSI Skills to polish them in preparation for the next step in your professional training.
This Professional Preparation is about YOU, we can map the session to meet your requirements and your development and are more than happy to advise - get in touch.
HOW LONG IS THE SSI PROFESSIONAL PREP?
It can be as long as you wish, we charge per day (equivalent hours if in water time)
Students who want to become divers must first complete the mandatory course documentation. Known medical conditions are required to be declared and notified to your Instructor prior to any in-water activity. A doctor's confirmation of fitness to dive if answer you to any medical condition on the Medical Statement. You can check out here:
