Waterproof was born on the rugged west coast of Sweden, founded by brothers Björn and Göran Ehlmé — two very different personalities united by a shared passion for diving. Göran, now Head of R&D, is a renowned polar explorer and underwater photographer for the BBC and National Geographic, while Björn brought the vision and drive to build the company. Together, they set out to create dive gear that could stand up to the harshest environments on Earth.

With over 40 years of experience, Waterproof has become a global leader in premium wetsuits and drysuits for recreational and professional divers alike. Every product is designed, developed, and tested under extreme real-world conditions — from the icy waters of Antarctica to the demanding challenges of the Arctic. This commitment to rigorous quality control and in-house innovation is what they call “Facing Reality.”
