SSI Try CCR
The SSI Try CCR program is your introduction to the rebreather world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting using any of our approved rebreathers. You will earn the SSI Try CCR recognition rating.
Prerequisites for the SSI Try CCR (1 Unit):
- Minimum Age: 18
- Certification Level: Enriched Air Nitrox / Deep Diver
Open Water training day will be at a local inland diving site
- Dives to a maximum depth of 6 metres
How it works:
- The session will start with a 2-hour equipment configuration session and a full briefing from one of our experienced instructors. You will use your own mask, fins, and exposure protection. Sessions can happen at any UK inland dive site and will include at least 2 hours of water time.
We have a maximum ratio of 2:1 with instructors to ensure you have the best possible experience. After a full debriefing and discussion about how to take your CCR diving to the next level.

SSI Try CCR Course details:
- Every student is issued with a certificate of completion and a digital recognition rating (via MySSI App).
- All Kit hire is included
- All Pool fees are included (if required) but entry to open water sites is not included
- All Air fills are included
- Instructor time is included
- We are committed to your success if you require more help we are there for you.
Notes:- Open Water can be any UK dive site and are arranged on request. As with all of our programs this course can be offered as an exclusive 1 on 1 program.
Prior to any Diver training course students need to complete a Mandatory Medical Questionaire.
Please ensure that you have read the Medical Statement and are sure that you will be able to commence any diver training PRIOR to paying as our Training Terms Conditions apply after payment has been made.
A doctor's confirmation of fitness to dive is required if you answer YES to any medical condition on the Medical Statement.

Oakham Swimming Pool
The 25m heated swimming pool at Oakham School's Leisure Centre is perfect for scuba diver training and kids' diving courses. This state-of-the-art facility provides laned sections for focused training and a comfortable, warm environment, ensuring an ideal learning experience for divers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're refining your technique or introducing children to the wonders of diving, our pool offers the perfect setting.
Our pool session(s) are on Saturday evenings from 18:00 - 20:00, with a meet at the Dive Centre prior (this time will be confirmed when you book). The time at the Dive Centre is spent on various activities depending on which course you are undertaking but for all first session this will involve introducing you to your instructor, the dive equipment you will be using in the pool, a safety briefing and the evenings activities. During non term time then we have a pool session available on a Thursday from 19:00 - 21:00.
