The Waterproof Ultima Twist Dry Glove System is an advanced dry glove system designed to provide reliable hand protection for cold-water, technical and long-duration diving. Replacing traditional push-pull connection systems with a low-friction rotational twist-lock mechanism, the Ultima Twist makes fitting and removing dry gloves straightforward, even when wearing thick gloves or working in cold conditions.

The system interfaces directly with Waterproof drysuits featuring Integrated Silicone Seals (ISS) and can also be retrofitted to drysuits fitted with fixed latex wrist seals. Visual alignment markers, tactile feedback and an audible click provide clear confirmation that the rings are correctly engaged.

Waterproof Ultima Twist Dry Glove System Details

The Waterproof Ultima Twist Dry Glove System uses a rotational locking mechanism rather than the traditional push-pull arrangement found on many dry glove systems. The low-friction design allows the glove and suit rings to engage with a simple twisting action, reducing the force required to connect and disconnect the system.

This is particularly useful when diving in cold conditions where dexterity can be reduced. The rotational mechanism guides the rings into position, while the integrated alignment markers help confirm that the components are correctly positioned.

The Ultima Twist also provides multi-sensory connection feedback. Once correctly engaged, the diver can see the alignment markers, feel the rings seat into position and hear the mechanical click confirming that the system is locked.

Integrated Air Equalisation

The system includes two flexible air equalisation tubes that route beneath the wrist seals. These allow air to pass into the dry gloves, helping to equalise pressure as depth changes and reducing the risk of uncomfortable glove squeeze.

The suit and glove rings can also be installed ahead of time, allowing the dry gloves to be prepared before arriving at the dive site or boat.

Compatibility

The Ultima Twist is designed for direct installation into Waterproof drysuits fitted with Integrated Silicone Seals (ISS). It can also be permanently installed into fixed latex wrist seals, making it suitable as an upgrade for compatible drysuits from other manufacturers.

Important: The Ultima Twist does not fit directly into Waterproof 3XL or 3XL/t+ drysuits fitted with the larger oval ISS wrist tracks. For these suit sizes, Waterproof's SI TECH Quick Glove system is recommended.
