Because the parts are sold separately you can build or extend a setup piece by piece.     Who Ammonite System are

    Ammonite System are a European manufacturer of technical dive lighting. Their lights are used by technical, cave, wreck and cold-water divers, and are built around a modular canister-and-head arrangement rather than sealed all-in-one units.

    The primary and backup lights are designed for cold, low-visibility inland water and for overhead and expedition diving. Housings are machined metal and the canister batteries are electronically managed. Output and burn time vary considerably between heads and batteries, so check the manufacturer specification for the combination you are considering.

    Ammonite's modular design philosophy allows divers to tailor their lighting systems to suit their configuration, whether diving sidemount, backmount or CCR. Features such as Goodman handles, canister battery systems, and clean cable routing suit divers who want a streamlined, functional setup.

    Building a setup

    Because the parts are sold separately, an Ammonite light is a set of decisions rather than a single purchase: which head, which battery, which cable, and how the whole thing attaches to the rig you already dive. Compatibility depends on that combination and on whether you are diving backmount, sidemount or CCR.
