Have you ever wondered what it is like to dive with flashlights, take digital photos underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut?
You can experience all of this and more as part of your ongoing development and working towards this certification
You will complete 10 AquaMissions, each mission is on a different subject introducing you to various skills and information all relating to diving activities.
As part of your course you will use the PADI Seal manual provided as part of your PADI Seal team certification, gaining achievement stickers along the way.
On completion of all missions you will receive a PADI Master Seal certificate and recognition pin badge and on sending in your application form will receive a PADI certification card to show all your friends and family.
Master Seals use all the basic SCUBA gear that adults would use. Here at DIVE Rutland, we have a range of smaller sized gear and cylinders specifically for use by our young divers.
DIVE Rutland provide the course over 5 pool sessions arranged between the group. Courses are generally scheduled to follow the completion of Seal Team programmes. Each of the five sessions includes attendance at our centre for briefings and around 75 minutes of underwater activity in our pool. Each session also requires a parent/guardian to be present throughout.
As with our Seal Team Programme, Master Seal AquaMissions reinforce safe diving and build water confidence while the young divers are having fun. PADI Master Seals get to sample a wide variety of dive specialties covering the most popular and exciting dive types. In addition, this programme provides a structure for young divers to use their skills, learn more about the aquatic environment and have a lot of good, clean fun. This is also an excellent introduction to SCUBA diving prior to full Open Water Diver certification.
Please read our Important Information. Perhaps you would like to snorkel or even dive with the children - see what they do and wave back? Many adults would like to photograph or film their children whilst diving. Please talk to us first if you wish to do so. We can also supply underwater cameras for you and the young diver to use during their experience!
Become an Open Water diver and explore the rich underwater world here and abroad that is available and maybe go on to be the next David Attenborough or Tim Peake, there are so many opportunities that relate to diving.
Not quite ready to start Open Water certification but want to stay diving in the pool then join our monthly Junior Bubble sessions and come diving with one of our professionals and keep having fun.
The training facility at our Nottingham location features a purpose-built pool that is 4 meters deep and 10 meters in diameter, providing an exceptional environment for scuba diving training. The pool boasts fantastic visibility and maintains a constant temperature of around 29 degrees, ensuring optimal comfort for all divers.
A 1.6-meter training platform extends over 50% of the pool's bottom surface, offering ample space for practicing various diving skills. The pool's unique design, with a bottom depth of 4 meters, allows divers to swim in a 30-meter circular path, simulating open water conditions. This facility also includes a gas filling station, a classroom, and an equipment showroom, making it a comprehensive training center for divers of all levels.
The 25m heated swimming pool at Oakham School's Leisure Centre is perfect for scuba diver training and kids' diving courses. This state-of-the-art facility provides laned sections for focused training and a comfortable, warm environment, ensuring an ideal learning experience for divers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're refining your technique or introducing children to the wonders of diving, our pool offers the perfect setting.
Our pool session(s) are on Saturday evenings from 18:00 - 20:00, with a meet at the Dive Centre prior (this time will be confirmed when you book). The time at the Dive Centre is spent on various activities depending on which course you are undertaking but for all first session this will involve introducing you to your instructor, the dive equipment you will be using in the pool, a safety briefing and the evenings activities. During non term time then we have a pool session available on a Thursday from 19:00 - 21:00.
