Miflex

Miflex build flexible braided hoses that have become a common upgrade on regulators, BCDs and drysuit inflators. Our current range covers Xtreme low pressure regulator hoses, LP BCD and inflator hoses in a spread of colours, an XT-Tech regulator hose and a high pressure hose in carbon, plus retaining clips, O-rings and adaptors. Getting the fitting and the length right matters rather more than the colour, and the guidance below covers both.

Miflex hoses - flexibility meets reliability

Miflex hoses are a common upgrade on regulators, BCDs and drysuit inflators, chosen for their light weight and flexibility next to standard rubber hoses. Whether you are fine-tuning your existing kit or building a new configuration, our Miflex range offers a variety of colours, lengths and fittings.

What Dive Rutland stocks from Miflex

Our current Miflex range covers Xtreme low pressure regulator hoses in 3/8” and 1/2” fittings, the XT-Tech low pressure regulator hose, and Xtreme LP BCD and inflator hoses in black, carbon black, blue, green, orange, pink, purple, red and white. There is also a high pressure hose in carbon. Alongside the hoses we list LP and HP retaining clips, inflator O-rings, a spare Schrader valve for LP inflator hoses, and a straight adaptor for Poseidon Cyklon fittings.

    Selecting the right hose

When choosing a new hose, it is important to make sure you are selecting the right length, fitting and connection type. Here is a quick overview to guide you:

    • Regulator and octopus hoses. Most come with a 3/8” male UNF thread for connection to the first stage and a 9/16” female scuba nut for the second stage. We also offer hoses with a 1/2” male UNF thread for select Mares and older Apeks regulators.
    • Inflator and BCD hoses. Supplied with a 3/8” male UNF thread and a Seatec-style quick release coupling with internal Schrader valve, making them suitable for most BCDs and drysuit inflators.

    Measuring your hose length

Miflex hoses are measured end-to-end, including fittings. Choose a length based on your equipment setup and comfort. We have expanded our range over time, so if you cannot see the length you want, ask.

Do note: manufacturing tolerances mean lengths may vary slightly. Always check individual product listings for exact size details.

    Fitting advice

To get the best from your Miflex hose and maintain equipment safety, we recommend all hoses are installed by a competent person or service technician. Incorrect fitting or overtightening can damage both hoses and dive gear. Miflex give the following maximum torque figures for their hoses:

    • Low pressure - 5 Nm
    • High pressure - 8 Nm

Never cut or attempt to modify a Miflex hose. The fittings are made for the hose as an assembly, and altering either part compromises it. If a hose is damaged, replace it rather than repair it.

    Not sure what you need?

No problem. Visit us in store or get in touch, and we will help you select the right hose or adaptor for your setup. You can also browse the wider hoses and accessories range, or the regulators the hoses attach to. If you are at all unsure about fitting, have it done by a service technician.

    Frequently asked questions

Xtreme low pressure regulator hoses in 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch fittings, the XT-Tech low pressure regulator hose, Xtreme LP BCD and inflator hoses in a range of colours, and a carbon high pressure hose. Alongside the hoses we list LP and HP retaining clips, inflator O-rings, a spare Schrader valve for LP inflator hoses, and a straight adaptor for Poseidon Cyklon fittings.
Most Miflex regulator and octopus hoses use a 3/8 inch male UNF thread at the first stage and a 9/16 inch female scuba nut at the second stage. Some Mares and older Apeks regulators take a 1/2 inch male UNF instead. Fittings vary between regulators, so check the manufacturer specification for your first stage, or bring it into the shop and we will check it with you.
End to end, including the fittings. Manufacturing tolerances mean the exact length can vary slightly, so check the individual product listing for the size details before ordering.
We recommend all hoses are installed by a competent person or service technician, because incorrect fitting or overtightening can damage both the hose and the dive gear it is attached to. Miflex give a maximum torque of 5 Nm for low pressure fittings and 8 Nm for high pressure fittings. Never cut or attempt to modify a hose.
