This courseis aimed at employees at all levels who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load of items by; lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling, carrying, manoeuvring, steadying or transporting thereof by hand or by bodily force
Our Manual Handling in the Workplace course is intended to provide students with an understanding of how to safely handle loads. It covers practical aspects of lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing and pulling loads. While also providing information on the human spinal system. How to complete risk assessments, along with the legal responsibility of employers to their employees and techniques for the prevention of accidents.
The course involves knowledge development, and a series of practical exercises, followed by scenarios that allow the students to put their skills into practise.

This course is valid for 2 years from the date of completion.
A refresher course is advised every year.
Minimum age 16 yrs, no prerequisite qualification required.
Please Note: This course is ran as and when required. It is better for your employees for this course to be ran in their actual workplace as we can actively utilise items they would be expected to lift, lower, push and pull in their normal day to day, so please contact us to arrange for you.
