Philippines - Dive Coron. WW2 Wrecks, Barracuda Lake
Coron is home to 10 Japenese wrecks, sunk by the Americans in 1944 as part of Operation Halestorm (which started in Truk Lagoon). All the wrecks can be dived recreationally using single cylinder and the dive guides will take you inside and out of the boats. The Irako is the deepest with the seabed at 42m, the shallowest being the gunboats, which are very shallow and can actually be seen by snorkelling. Apart from wreck diving, there are a couple of unique dives you simply must do - Barracuda Lake, with its helocline created from fresh water from a hot spring, plus Cathedral Cave, both located on Coron Island. Coron is undoubtably one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines.
Sangat Island resort is perfectly located close to the main cluster of wrecks, less than a 10 minute boat ride away. Away from the busy little town of Coron, guests will certainly feel cast away in nature on this beautiful island with its own picturesque white sand beach. Accomodation is Beach or Hillside Chalets, which are native style in construction. The restaurant is buffet style, offering an array of western and local foods; you will most definitely not go hungry. The open-air Rock Bar offers superb views of the starry night sky whilst enjoying an ice cold San Miguel or cocktail.

Normal diver etiquette and club ethos payment terms apply regarding this trip. Once your deposit has been received, you will be committed to the full payment including any interim and final payments. In case of cancellation by you, any deposit, interim payment or final payment is non-refundable unless a replacement diver can be found.
