SSI Advanced Adventurer
SSI ADVANCED ADVENTURER OVERVIEW
The SSI Advanced Adventurer program is designed to immerse you in five distinct open water dives from various SSI Specialty programs (equivalent to the PADI Advanced Open Water speciality)
No need to commit to a full Specialty course - this unique program offers a taste of diverse dive experiences to advance your skills and explore your interests. Perfect for those uncertain about their next diving step, it's an ideal way to hone your abilities and pinpoint the Specialty programs that resonate with you.
We recommend that maybe you consider not doing the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification. Why because you can complete the SSI Deep Speciality with no requirements except to be an Open Water diver and we feel you gain much more experience and understanding of dive planning and SAC rates.
WHAT DO I NEED TO START THE SSI ADVANCED ADVENTURER?
- You need to be an Open Water Diver or equivalent
- Aged 10 or 12 if Deep Diver included.
- For Junior ratings you need to be 12 -14 years old and instead of certifying to 30 metres you certify to 21 metres (if the Deep speciality dive is undertaken, otherwise you stay as per your Open water qualification)
- Mask / Snorkel / Dive Computer - No Dive Computer then we will loan you one, but ALL divers should own their own dive computer and we have a number of computers in stock and some great package deals
Depending on which adventure dives you select additional equipment will be required i.e. Deep you will need a slate and pencil.
HOW LONG WILL THE SSI ADVANCED ADVENTURER TAKE?
If the five speciality 'dives' chosen are in water then this will be two days
WHAT ADVENTURE DIVES ARE AVAILABLE?
- SSI Boat Diving - on a boat dive trip only
- SSI Deep Diving
