SSI Snorkel Instructor Package
The SSI Snorkel Instructor course is designed to take you from Snorkel diver to Snorkel instructor, teaching you the necessary skills to lead and teach snorkel sessions both in controlled and open water conditions
We will provice you with the knowledge and training necessary to conduct entry-level snorkeling programs in a safe and enjoyable manner
What Do I need to Start the SSI Snorkel Instructor Course?
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Proof of First Aid and Oxygen Adminstration certification within the last 2 years - Do not have, not an issue, join one of our ReAct Right courses
- Medical statement completed by Physician
What will I do during the SSI Snorkel Instructor Course?
- Complete the SSI Candidate Water Fitness Evaluation
- Complete dry and in water teaching presentations
- Demonstrate all snorkel skills from the SSI Snorkel Diver Course
- Learn and be able to deliver confident briefings along with skills to be able to teach and resolve issues encountered in training by students learning to snorkel.
- Learn how to undertake a site risk assessment
- Complete an Open Water Snorkel Guided Dive.

On qualification what can I do as an SSI Snorkel Instructor
As an SSI Snorkel instructor you can:-
- Teach, supervise and issue recognition cards for the SSI Snorkel Diver certification
- Guide snorkelers on excursions in an open water environment

Students who want to become divers must first complete the mandatory course documentation. Known medical conditions are required to be declared and notified to your Instructor prior to any in-water activity.
