Have a dive computer do you know how to use it... Don't have a dive computer and want to work out the differences in computer types as well as the features and benefits of using a dive computer.

Overview of the SSI Computer Diving Speciality

SSI designed the Computer Diving program to help certified divers become familiar with the features and benefits of using a dive computer. 

Most divers when they own a dive computer know a few functions but by understanding and knowing how to use all the functions of a dive computer, you will not only increase your dive safety but also make planning and executing your dive easier.

The SSI Computer Diving program explores the functions and capabilities of different dive computers and explains how to use these functions before, during, and after your dive. Often, divers purchase a computer and only use it for its basic information. Get the most out of your investment by learning to use your dive computer to its full potential.

What do I need to start the SSI Computer Diving Speciality?

• Referral Diver any Agency for dry sessions - SSI Open Water Diver (or equivalent) or above if doing open water dives (optional)
• Minimum age: 10 years old
• Dive Computer - but if you do not have one, then we will loan you one for the classroom element of the course

What will I Do during the SSI Computer Diving Speciality?

During your SSI Computer Diving Specialty course, we will:-

• Explore the functions and capabilities of different dive computers
• Explain how to seamlessly integrate these features into your entire dive experience
  
• Explain the different levels of conservatism available in computers
• Use the pre-dive planning features

The aim for us is to help you understand how to use all the functions of a dive computer, which should increase your dive safety, by helping make planning and executing dives easier and if you do not own a dive computer help you work out the functions and features you want in a dive computer.

How Long will it take?

Over and above the online elearning via the SSI App, you will attend a classroom session with one of our dive professionals.  This is a great speciality to combine with our Enriched Air Speciality.

Any other costs?

If chosing to do any optional in water dives then not included is the Entrance fees for open water site and personal travel costs

Whats my next adventure?

Come diving with us, we have many trips and events that can and will utilise the skills you learn on this course, have adventures and make friends.  Combine with the Enriched Air Speciality for a cost saving.

This speciality counts towards your SSI Master Scuba Diver certification which is automatically award for no extra charge by SSI when you have all the pre-requisites logged within the SSI app.
